Please vote yes on ballot measure 34-312 on May 17

In the May 17 Primary Election, the City of Forest Grove is asking it’s voters to approve the renewal of an existing local operating levy with a rate increase from the current $1.60 per $1,000 of assessed value to a new rate of $1.95. The replacement levy would run for five years beginning in fiscal year 2023-24.

Forest Grove’s public services rely on renewal of this local option levy. It is necessary to maintain current services, keep pace with inflation and city growth and to improve emergency services response times, parks maintenance, recreation programs and library outreach services.

While most of the levy will support essential public safety services, quality of life services in the library, parks and pool also need levy funds. All these services help make Forest Grove a great lace to live

What’s close to home is most important.

Board members of both the Forest Grove Library Foundation and the Friends of the Forest Grove Library urge voters to give their support to continuing city programs by voting yes on Measure 34-312..

Forest Grove supports library funding

All the precincts in Forest Grove voted in favor of the Washington County Cooperative Library Services local option levy, measure 34-180, in the November 2 election.
Only four precincts in all of Washington County did not vote for the five year funding.  In all, over 118,000 county voters approved the measure.
This five year serial levy continues the property tax rate of the expiring WCCLS levy, 17 cents per thousand dollars assessed valuation.
